It is a very risky sport and remains to be deadliest. Many people have tried to climb different mountains on the earth and have died due to collapse and other risks. The deadliest mountain on the earth is the Mont Blank Massif. It has a height of 15,782 ft and is the tallest peak in the Alpine range. Steep rocks and rock slides have been claiming lives of climbers every year. It is the mountain with the highest number of fatalities with an average of 100 climbers per year. It has a record of over 6000 dead climbers. It is very popular since president Theodore Roosevelt reached its top in 1886.

The second mountain on the list is the Annapurna. It boasts a height of 26,246 ft. the Nepal Annapurna is the tallest peak that attracts climbers from everywhere. Since 1950, 191 people have successfully climbed this mountain. Sixty people have since died as they tried to reach the summit of Annapurna. it is referred as the most dangerous mount for those with 8000 meters peak.

Another mountain under focus is the K2 which is the seconded highest mountain on the earth. The mount is located on the Pakistan-china border and boasts of 28,251 ft. Climbing Kilimanjaro is easy but not K2. Even when you choose the easiest route, you will face ice pillars that can collapse, steep rocks and complicated glaciers. The mount has a bad reputation for women climbers. Six women had tried to climb the mountain and five of them died since year 2003.

There is the Nanga Parbat which has bad name of the man eater. The mount is located in Pakistan and boasts of 26,657ft. It has enormous ridge of ice and rock. It is the ninth tallest mountain in the world and has the tallest mountain face. It has claimed the lives of 31 climbers by 1953.
